Obtain Letters from Sub-City Transport Bureau
Visit your sub-city transport bureau to get two letters: one for the traffic management bureau and another for the police station.
Clear Traffic Violations at the Traffic Management Bureau
Pay a 100 Birr fine via Dashen Bank to confirm that you have no traffic violations. and Take the letter along with payment recipt to the traffic management bureau.
Verify Loss at the Police Station
Present the letter at the police station. Pay a 10 Birr fee, and the police will issue a verification letter stating that your driving license is lost.
Return to the Sub-City Transport Bureau
Bring the letters from the traffic management bureau and the police station back to the sub-city transport bureau.
Pay for License Reissuance
Pay a 5,000 ETB fee through the designated bank account of the transport bureau (note: other payment options like Telebirr are not accepted, its CASH ONLY GOD Knows Why.).
Receive Your Printed Driving License
After payment is confirmed, the transport bureau will print and issue your new driving license.
